This is a wildly ignorant take on the state of healthcare in prisons.

Oh fuck off. The guy came from insane wealth. His family *owned* country clubs and healthcare companies. He went to the most expensive prep school in the state and is a double Ivy League graduate. His family is extremely powerful in both local politics and industry. He came from unimaginable wealth and power. He was personally able to afford whatever medical treatment he wanted. Easily 8 to 9 figures of wealth. He lived a lifetime of upper class luxury and privilege. If it existed, he could get any form of healthcare he could ever want prior to this. Money was no object his entire life. There’s a good chance that he had more money that the CEO he shot.
Healthcare afforded to prisoners is minimal.
Edit: Lmfao guys, he’s not a tread on, working class hero. He’s an extremely privileged, ultra wealthy elite. I can agree with his stance on healthcare insurance but let’s not frame his actions as the martyrdom of someone pushed to their last resort. Cope and seethe all you want. He’s an >0.1%er. You can agree or disagree with what he did but he’s not the Everyman you’re projecting yourself onto him to be. He had tens of thousands in cash on him when he was arrested. Money is no and never was an object to him. The likelihood of not being able to afford whatever healthcare he or his family needed was precisely 0%. His family is wealthier than the person he killed. They own nursing homes that make money from insurance and have a lot of complaints for poor care. Along with country clubs and a radio station
He had the money to pay for care

His back probably isnt going to get fixed and is only going to get worse since all he is going to get is pain pills no other physical therapy or chiropractic care.

The dude is from a rich family. If his back didnt get fixed, I doubt its because they were worried about claims getting rejected by the insurance company.

More interesting thing is the guy is a millionaire and it has nothing to do with insurance problems.

Prison isn’t free. I highly encourage you to research the cost incurred by inmates if you think otherwise. People often leave prison 10s of thousands of dollars in debt

Imagine when he goes to trial and gets acquitted. Wouldn’t that be a statement to the greedy health insurance companies.

Lmao prison healthcare?? Very ignorant take. They are already dressing the guy up in suicide vests and posing him for pictures. They are going to kill him. Make an example of him.

He might -might- get an aspirin in prison, but he’s not going to get any other care.

That back injury he has has a very low recovery rate even with the best surgery in the world. Back and knee surgery often wind up with you coming out worse than you were beforehand, especially if you dont do the physical therapy properly. (ALWAYS do this. Please)
