Look. This is the basic floor for elected representatives–they have to be present during a crisis. Because, unlike the rest of us, they have access to tools and funds that can be of assistance to the people they serve.
And Gov. Kay Ivey declared a state of emergency in Alabama last week……….then immediately dipped to Mar-A-Lago. ðŸ«

Even if its just politiking to be seen to be where others are doing something – he’s getting informed of the disaster and that info will seep into his decisions.
