My 20s right now: budgeting for instant noodles

I spent my entire childhood waiting to grow up, believing life would improve.

I was so wrong.

The key is to not be poor and also be attractive… also be fiction.

Will y’all believe me if I say I used to lie about my age to get into clubs every weekend in highschool and I thought my college life was gonna be super fun, but here I am not having set foot into a single party or club ever since uni started for me last year. College students are dry af

Like, no, memes aside I’m so fucking pissed at how most of my interractions are now online conversations that lead nowhere with people who will never bother walking up to me and becoming friends irl despite being at the other side of a same campus

My 20s: the reality is just an unpaid internship at the comedy club of life.

Genuine advice, if this is how you feel, force yourself to go join more friend groups, or social groups of things you’re interested in and go do stuff.

Stop being chronically online because it’s depressing, you’ll be happier going out and doing things even if it seems hard at first even if you don’t currently want that. Humans have evolved since the beginning of time to be social creatures that crave community and relationships

that’s why its called fiction 🙂

No joke, huge relief when I turned 30 and didnt have to “live up my 20s” anymore/ invent Facebook while I was in my 20s anymor😅
I was able to just enjoy life and find things I enjoyed. Have been much more at peace in my 30s than in my 20s.
In my opinion, skip right to that acceptance while in your 20s and enjoy them for what they, not what they should be😅

Movies promised me rooftop parties, but here I am with student loans and anxiety. 😅

if you are rich since young, you wouldve lived the your 20’s so good

To real.

2020-2023: Celebrating my 20s with Netflix marathons and existential dread. What a wild ride!

20s? nah, right after high school 😣

20s sucks

Accurate af

Hi

My early 20s was COVID

Do people in their 20s really not see that those were traditionally the years for getting married, having kids, and establishing a career? Party time ends in your early 20s.

My brain every second: i need to lock in 😫

So um… Why exactly aren’t you guys having fun? I started having fun way before my 20s and I’m now 48 and never stopped having fun. I get that most people stop having fun at some point, but why not even start? Is it impossible to meet people irl now because of internet or identity politics or did everybody just stop having fun? Genuinely curious

We gave this up for cheap cheeseburgers.

This isn’t how I imagined it 😅

Still the same now in my late 30s. Quiet desperation.

Im in my freshman year (though quite belated, as I’m 20) at a college of 30,000 right now and I’ve gotten phone numbers of 20 people at least, but never once have I hung out with anyone for anything more than a lunch on campus. I have a study group that I can get along with pretty decently, but they never do anything as a group besides our weekly study sessions, the only exceptions are the two times they’ve played poker on study nights, but I don’t like to gamble and I suck at poker so I can’t even enjoy that.

On top of that, basically every single time that I’ve met up with someone, I’ve been the one to initiate it. And unless I’m wrong, friendships are supposed to be a two-way-street. Maybe I’m expecting too much too soon though.

All that being said, it’s somewhat comforting to find out that I’m not the only one that feels like this, as evidenced by this comment section.

I had a lot of fun in my twenties, but I also have no savings and some nagging injuries from said fun.

Watch movies = Get FOMO

Me in 20s: watching people line up outside clubs and bars on a Friday night while I head home wondering why my landlord is chasing after me like a bull dog.

I’m 37. My 20s and 30s sucked.

When your 20s feel more like your 40s

Where’s my movie montage of wild nights?

Ralate!

So true, really don’t understand why there are so many differences.

Really?

Well that’s because the Hollywood studios fund their entertainment in the movies whereas in real life, you got little to no money at that age.

they look like jake paul after he beat a 58 year old man with 7 children half to death

If you do it right you can

Yall could fix that, you know.

Skill Issue

Thats not very realistic
