Dunno what you’re talking about because I’m 100% buying Intel once they put out a GPU that has more power than my current GPU. I don’t wanna pay for a downgrade, but they’re the only ones releasing affordable GPUs so they’re really the only option.

Charity purchases over the past four generations have not exactly lit a fire under AMD to get their act together.
Its unconscionable that it took Sony and their PS5 Pro for them to get off their butts and attempt to compete against DLSS and XeSS.

I didn’t even know people were passionate about this.
I guess things like these don’t matter if you build a mid range pc every 10+ years. Whatever gives the most bang for my buck at the time is what goes in.

As if they were more affordable lol. The first GPU to break the mold was the arc580 Priced “normal” compared to its performance.
BOTH AMD and Nvidia have the same assinine pricing in europe. Then why would you buy an AMD GPU at maybe 20€ less when you leave about 15% performance and the odd driver issue on them

Unpopular opinion but Intel and AMD need to deliver a potent GPU. I believe Intel and AMD can finance that via their CPU sells.

I want what performs best, I detest that that means I have to buy nvidia.
I’d love for another company to make something better for me. They just can’t or won’t sadly.
Amd even outright said they won’t try to compete anymore. What am I supposed to do then?

My AMD RX 6700XT kicks ass and has ample VRAM for everything that I play. I went from all NVIDIA GPUs and Intel CPUs to all AMD. Unless there is a major change in NVIDIA pricing schemes, I doubt I’ll go back.
$1,000+ for a GPU is insane, and NVIDIA has been doing fucky things with nerfing already existing cards to trick unsuspecting buyers. Shady and greedy as fuck.
I’m glad AMD and Intel are doing well in the GPU space because NVIDIA is blowing it.

The cheapest Arc B580 in my country is 350€, the cheapest RTX4060 is 325€. At those prices, they’re about the same bang for the buck, and that makes me extremely angry.

I would buy Intel or amd if they had a product, that could compete with nvidia.
Want VR Performance? Nvidia
Want Image generation Performance? Nvidia
Want a top tier gpu? Nvidia
And tbh, since amd announced they are concentrating on the mid tier market, i don’t have much hope, that’s gonna change in the near future.

I find that complain about it doesn’t make any sense in the face of the fact that they’re still the market leader and no one wants to buy their competitors products. You should be asking AMD and Intel to do better, not NVIDIA. They are literally the best.

Lol yah, 90% of the GPU market are fanboys. All 1.6 billion of them blindly buy into Nvidia. For fuck sake.
How about before telling people to unfanboy, you first unhateboner yourself. You people getting mad about some cards that don’t even exist yet, and has not yet failed to play any game. You just want to get mad about something.
It’s a free market. People are free to buy whatever they want.

Now im probably gonna get downvoted but i have to share my experience so maybe someone can benefit. Ive been always an nvidia user but after all their pricing BS during covid times i decided to buy an amd and got myself an 6950xt. It was good at first and i was like fuck nvidia. But during my 2 year usage i got lots of issues like crashes, driver issues, lots and lots of instabilities with various games, very shitty performance in vr, etc. but i didnt notice what i was going through at the time, i blamed these issues on to games, poor optimization, bad ram, bad mobo, etc. then i decided to build completely new pc, ive searched, read and watched for weeks, reviews articles etc. built a really highend pc with 7900xtx series this time. Yeah my overal fps and performance was higher but i was getting the same issues, same stutters and same instabilities like before. I got that setup for another year, close to a year. Then i got lucky and got a really cheap 4090, pny, nothing fancy. And boom, every single issue i had gone, but like i said i figured noticed those issues after i got the 4090 because i went back and tested almost every game i had issues before and they werent there. So yeah, after that 3 year long experience im not recommending amd or any other card to anyone. Even i still hate nvidia i cant in good conscience step into those problems again.

I did, but I’m playing older games that would support PhysX on an Nvidia GPU which I don’t have, there’s this demo of Outerra Anteworld that doesn’t run on AMD at all and I’d like to try image generation which is also not really that easy/fast with AMD. My next card will probably be an Nvidia but I also think there are a lot of people who would be perfectly fine with AMD but went with NV anyway for some reason
