I feel like I’ve been hearing about legislation being “introduced” for many years, but when will we hear about it being actually implemented?
Luckily Eli Lilly products (Lantus, Humalog, and their generics also by Eli Lilly, etc) are now capped at $30 per month, whether you have insurance or not.
It would be great if politicians didn’t only care about things that personally affected them.

We need people who are willing to enpathsise with OTHERS struggles, and not just be willing to make changes because something happens to them personally.

The copay after insurance for one of my meds is $2000 a month.
Idk if Abbott even signed it though. They got it to his desk, but I haven’t heard anything else about it. The scope was very narrow. It only applied to about 15 percent of Texans. It may have also been superceded by the inflation reduction act. Idk

Why limit this to insulin? Plenty of medications are ridiculously expensive in America. In other countries they’re usually cheaper because those countries governments negotiate the prices.
Here in Brazil, people can get insulin and any necessary supplies to treat diabetes and some other diseases for free
It’s not free in Canada but it’s not the outrageous prices that US patients have shell out to stay alive.
