For those who are not math speaking. The equation is 230-220*0.5=5! and with meme history this means there are 2 ways to solve it.
Left to right. 230-220=10 10*0.5=5. Answer is 5 yeaa!!!
Correct way 220*0.5=110 230-110=120 120=5!
What you must learn is what “!” means in math. A “!” ic called a factorial. With a factorial you multiply the number in front by every other whole I tiger number before it up until 0.
So a 3! Is 3*2*1 which is 6 a 4! Is 4*3*2*1 which is 24. A cute trick is taking the last factorial sum and multiplying it by the new number. A 5! Is 5*4*3*2*1 doing steps in order this is 20*3*2*1 which is 60*2*1 becoming 120*1 so 5 factorial is 120

I hate pemdas so much. It has no practical use that I know of. You do an equation in order that it matters for the task you’re trying to accomplish. Not because some arbitrary rule of mathematics demands it.
If I want to add 5 apples to my 1 apple, then multiply it by 2, the answer is NOT 7. It’s fucking 12.
Order of operations is an exercise in a vacuum, not the real world.

230 – 220 x 0.5
230 – 440
