Monster hunter for anyone whose played more than 1 in the series. Literally the same every single time like pokemon.

Don’t mind a weak story if the gameplay is fun. Mad Max. Good example. Not really much of a story to tell but so much fun to play. Exact opposite is what stopped me from playing anymore of Mafia 3. I thought the story was really good and wanted to see how it unfolded but that gameplay was so dull and boring I just couldn’t bring myself to play anymore.

Starbound.
The game was meant to be a sort of “spiritual successor” to Terraria, in the sense that you could travel in a spaceship and visit a whole galaxy of star systems filled with planets, moons, gas giants, space stations, and sometimes strange ancient things orbiting round them. Furthermore, you could also choose from one of six races and build your own character in greater detail, much like you would in Terraria.
And then they introduced Story Mode for it in a major update, where your character starts out as a member of an organization called the Terrene Protectorate, and the story was…. pretty ho-hum. But then, you could always forget that the story exists and go build a colony on a peaceful planet somewhere. At times movement can be a little slippery when you’re trying to stand or move on a real thin platform, leading to some frustrating moments.
I still say the Matter Manipulator is a really great tool to use, though.

Far Cry 5: The game’s ending annoyed me, love the game because of the gameplay, beautiful graphics and interesting side characters.

Breath of the Wild. There hardly is any story honestly. But the gameplay is impeccable.

This is just Monster Hunter as a whole. 4U had a pretty neat story tho.
World was painfully boring and unskippable cutscenes made me actively hate the game
