When you have the opinion of a 10 year old then it becomes a legitimate argument. There’s no point in arguing logic with a 10 year old.
If you were older than 10, you would’ve realised this.
If your opinion betrays a lack of knowledge on your part, then attacking your age becomes legitimate.
When people argue with no actual reasons, just speak their language.
If they simply say ‘your opinion is wrong’ or something, don’t explain why it is true just say something like ‘but it’s not tho’.
If they try to derail the argument by insulting you on a grammar mistake or smth, again speak their language make fun of them for trying to avoid the original topic instead of defending yourself for the grammar thing. same goes for “14 year old” thing.
Tho the mature thing to do is, take the L and stop replying not argue with ignorance, its a waste of time for just a guy’s opinion in one internet thread.

So when a 14 year old expresses an opinion, we’re meant to automatically just say it’s dumb because they’re 14 according to this comment section. So I’m curious, what if a 14 year old said “Nazi’s are bad,” would you disagree with the 14 year old because of their age, or would you concede and admit that a 14 year old can have a logical opinion?
We shouldn’t discourage every opinion teenagers have because it’s extremely taxing on self-esteem. It’s very frustrating when you research a topic, and people will still tell you you’re wrong because of your age. And then when you express that same exact opinion in your 20s, all of a sudden, it’s valid because you’re older.
If we take our youth more seriously, then they will take themselves more seriously and hopefully will grow to have more nuanced opinions.
Nah, some people have nuance in their opinions the way a 14 year old would. I mean the classic is, regardless of which side youre on, “oh, stuff is more expensive. Let me check who is president, it must be their fault alone”. Not limited to the US, nor any side of the political spectrum.
