Would look gooffy. He is a Lord, not a Henchman.
He has asthma. 😐
He never needed to, like the Lich King. Inevitable like death.
He doesn’t need to run, does he? His enemies won’t escape either way.
I always saw Vader as a tall, strong, but stiff moving figure. It would make sense to me from watching the first 6 movies that he just can’t. He has very limited rotation and mobility. For instance, when he turns his head he doesn’t just turn his neck like most of us. He instead turns his entire body.
Vader doesn’t run. He pulls what he needs towards him.
It’s a classic villain trait, it displays menace and confidence.
You never see Vader run, or Jason, or The Terminator, or Jaws, or Michael Myers.
He’s Skywalker, not Skyrunner
Vader can’t even lift his arms over his head because if that suit. His injuries and the uncomfortable suit restrict his movement more than you think.
Also, that the others were saying. He is a villain. Did you ever see Thrawn run? Or Hemlock?
He doesn’t have real legs anymore?

As a Vader cosplayer, I can confidently say it’s because he can’t see shit and would trip over his own cape.

He does a light jog in Battlefront
He could but doesn’t need/want to. It’s what I think is the most intimidating thing about him, he’s an inevitable unwavering force that can’t be stopped
Conserving energy. Every movement is painful to him, so he learned to make every movement count. Every movement Vader makes is calculated and purposeful.
Because he has no need to. If you look like your escaping he has the force to stop you
He’s like Paul in Goodfellas.
Vader doesn’t need to move for anybody
He’s like 40% nubbin skywalker in there. Probably isn’t that easy on the body to run like at all in a medical suit like that, focuses on his use of the force more and light sabers if he has to, the saber is certainly not his first choice most of the time either.
He can’t and he doesn’t have to.

Don’t get it twisted. People run from Vader. Not the other way around.
