You might think so, and then you are confronted with Smart-Toilets, Smart fridges, smart toasters etc etc. It is a marketing gimmick and will in these cases, be our doom

My favorite time that this happened was in the series Guilty Gear. So this one guy makes a clone with the intended purposes of uploading someone’s mind into the clone body to bring them back to life or kill a god like being. But he gave the clone body sentience alongside her own unique mind and personality so she basically was a completely different person compared to the person she was a clone of. So despite being a unique person with sentience her entire purpose was to have herself overwritten by someone else.
