You might think so, and then you are confronted with Smart-Toilets, Smart fridges, smart toasters etc etc. It is a marketing gimmick and will in these cases, be our doom
Imagine a robot with sentience challenging you to a fight using those metal fists.
My favorite time that this happened was in the series Guilty Gear. So this one guy makes a clone with the intended purposes of uploading someone’s mind into the clone body to bring them back to life or kill a god like being. But he gave the clone body sentience alongside her own unique mind and personality so she basically was a completely different person compared to the person she was a clone of. So despite being a unique person with sentience her entire purpose was to have herself overwritten by someone else.
If the robot doesn’t realize the misery of doing thankless jobs for next to no pay, then they can’t really replace us
