For me it’s usually alcohol, coupled with the fact that for whatever inane reason I subscribe to r/subreddit and r/newreddits

Dude it’s the same with YouTube they have that cringy ass podcast or channels with he subscribe button wheee you would scroll with your fingers and it just auto connects you like that and the next thing you know your subbed to some one you never knew existed.
