Out of all those games Zau is the most confusing to me. It’s literally a story about one man’s grief for his father’s death told through him reading his father’s unfinished book. It has no women in major roles and is a fantasy meitroidvania helping people accept the death of their loved ones. And it’s woke because… It takes place in Africa?
I was playing the games because that what gamers do, bar multiplayer ones as I dont have the energy for them.
Forspoken was ok, not a bad game although the MC was abit irritating at times but thats easily overlooked as the combat system was kinda fun imo.
DragonAge TVG waas fine, not had chance to play much of this one due to time restraints lately, not a bad game overall so far.
Star Wars Outlaws, I love SW’s but I dont like open world games too much so this is on my list to play when on sale and I have free time.
Alan Wake 2 was a banger I enjoyed that alot coming off the back of the originals after so long.
Flintlock im not sure of it may not have caught my attention.

Concord was a live service hero shooter, I played OW and I got bored of that a few years ago, OW2 was not much different, I havent even played Marvel Rivals as I just dont like MP games.
So it’s not a sense of go woke or go broke, most games have always been woke you were just not conditioned to hate something you hated then like you are now.

As a fellow common sense gamer, I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of this post. But it doesn’t just stop at the games on OP’s list. Earlier this year, I was playing Space Marine 2, feeling secure and not the least bit fragile as I directed my testosterone-fuelled hunk of pure erect man-muscle to smash and blast through everything in his path, when, without warning, I encountered a FEMALE ASTRA MILITARUM. And not even one in sexy clothing that I could get hard over; just a regular imperial guard uniform. It was enough to make me throw up in my mouth; I quit and uninstalled the game and haven’t even looked at the box since.

Veilguard is still a relatively new game. Outlaws has done decently. Forspoken was a good idea that just landed poorly.
Where were the anti-woke for the Horizon series? Mass Effect? Tomb Raider? Metroid? I mean if a female lead hurts your fragile masculinity so badly, then maybe you are just not mature enough to be playing games and need to go suckle momma’s tit for a few more years.

Idk if this guy is aware but almost every game he listed has been pretty successful with out “common sense” gamers. Also notice he didn’t list games like Baldur’s Gate 3, which was so fucking gay and “woke”. Almost like level of representation doesn’t have baring on how good or bad a game is.

In the same place and mind space Im in right now. Making fun of people who are insanely triggered because Videogames are not 100% catered towards a single group of People who want to sexualize everything.
I still remember back in 2016-2018 where people like that were going around “triggering the libs/SJWs”. Now either they noticed, that triggering the libs isnt as easy, or they just like someone triggered, so they trigger themselves.
And most of the games listed there (Atleast the ones I played) are not even slightly woke. They are at most “pink washed” rainbow capitalist extras strapped on games that didnt plan for them in the first place. I dont care much about that, thats not what I, as the target audience for this shit, actually wants.
I want games like Cyberpunk 2077, where I get called “babe, Mamasita and woman of the hour”, where trans charachters exist openly without pointing to them like “see, we even have trans charachters”. The games that actually deliver what I as a trans and bi person like arent even the ones they cry about.
